Janet's Bio
Hi,
My name is Janet Murphy. Just a little about me; currently living in my childhood home in Columbus Ohio and partnering with my husband John in the creation, building and production of Singinginthereign.com.
My musical niche is singing inspirational and Christian themed music (and I have been known to belt out “Build Me Up Buttercup” on occasion). My training and experience began through church praise and worship bands that eventually led to a worship leader position.
As a breast cancer survivor, I know from experience the power of well versed songs with moving arrangements. They really do inspire!

I am Not Old... I am Experienced!!
Hi,
My name is John Murphy. I am originally from Brooklyn, NY and currently live in Columbus, Ohio. My music is basically contemporary Christian, but I also love good old-fashioned rock and roll and Yes, Country as well.
I have been involved in music since i was six years old. My first instrument was the accordion. I joined the school band and took trumpet lessons all through grammar school. That was way back in 1957. I still play to this day.
Since then, I have added the drums, guitar and piano.

I have been involved for many years in our church band . That is where I actually became interested in recording some of our music.
When we realized how expensive it was to record professionally in a recording studio, we decided to try recording our own music. So, from the early 90's I was recording my music and that of some friends as a hobby and learning and gaining experience.
One of our recordings was used by the Miss Philadelphia Pageant and mastered by Sigma Sound in the early nineties.
Over the last two years we, my wife Janet and I, have formally started Singing In The Reign LLC .
Now that I am retired, I am living my dream of writing and producing music professionally.
Our studio is small but fully equipped with quality professional equipment.

Hi There,
I come from a long line of well-loved rescue fur babies. No surprise there since Mom had ten stray animals, she called her own when she was about 4 years old. I am
now 7 years old and a lovely mix of beagle and corgi (and Mom suspects Jack Russell). Mom and Dad say I am very organized in that I divide my time equally and special antics
with each of my peeps. I love cuddles, playing tug of war and growlies, and the softer the blankie the better!
I met Mom and Dad through All4Paws rescue out of Pennsylvania in Feb. of 2020. If you would like to rescue (or be rescued!) and live in New Jersey or Pennsylvania, check them out.
